    • Lovely weather you seem to be having there. Looks as though the clouds are about twenty feet off the ground. Great countryside. Is it really as bucolic as it seems, or did you frame it carefully to exclude the grubby ginormous city, the two nuclear power plants, and the industrial chicken farm just outside the frame? :)

    • It's partly the choice of direction I'm shooting in, but there's no nuclear power stations to avoid. In the fading light, you can only just make out the Braes of Doune wind farm on the right hand side, which caused some controversy when it was built. Keeping the chicken farm out of the shot was tricky though :)

Dunblane from Bridge of Allan - Saturday 3rd January, 2009. 3/365. To kick start my other New Year's resolution to get fit, I ran the Callander Crags race this afternoon. The ascent was really tough, but worth it for the beautiful views from the top. It's a great spot for taking photos - as a quick flickr search shows - but I'd left my camera in the car, worried that I'd drop it while running. I didn't even take any photos from the bottom of the hill after the race. Hopefully I'll get more snap happy as this project continues. On the bright side, it was third time lucky as I managed to take today's photo (just) before it got dark.
